So you’re here because you HAVE to know who writes/ takes pics & puts together WebMaya. Well that would be me – the name is Fira and I generally suck at writing bio pages. But then since you’re already here, I guess I’ll spare you some details. Unfortunately, I’m not one of those travel bloggers who quits their boring daytime jobs after having enough of office politics or the daily jam in the heart of KL; who pack their bags, leave country with whatever cash they have in hand to seek their life’s adventure.
I’m still pretty much a desk-bound web designer based in Malaysia, currently churning graphics & UI/UX for one of Malaysia’s leading news channel. WebMaya here is my digital playground showcasing different aspects of me – my travel footprints, digital works (under compilation) and some random thoughts.
I get high and giddy when planning a trip somewhere (anywhere) and for someone who only got their first passport at the age of 24, I still have tons of places to go and explore. Maybe I would be lucky enough to roam the other side of the globe someday; but until then, South East Asia is a pretty big playground for me. I travel for the colorful inspirations – be it in the people, culture or food.
I was born back when Michael Jackson was still black and grew up in the era of MLTR, Boyzone and Westlife. You will most likely to find me on a nice tropical island or anywhere that sells yummy pesto pasta. Always wishes for a smaller waist, bigger closet and loves anything Tiffany blue.
Sharing about where I’ve been with people around me has always been a joyful thing, so here I am. You might find some of my travels in TripZilla Magazine too.
Feel free to write to me with comments, feedback, invites, recommendations or just to say hello!
